ONLINE REGISTRATION BEGINS: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11 AT 6PM EASTERN (3 PACIFIC)

Here's how to register for the Valdese Youth Triathlon:

Until April 9,         $25

There is a $5 for each additional child registered from the same family BUT YOU MUST REGISTER THEM ALL AT THE SAME TIME TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNT ONLINE!!

For safety, the race cap is 225 and entries are granted on a first come, first served basis.

Please follow these steps to make sure you are registered correctly:

1. In order to participate in the Valdese Family Practice youth Triathlon, you must have a current USA Triathlon membership.  Please register for your USA Triathlon membership in one of the two following ways:

   1. You can purchase a membership from USA Triathlon directly for $5 by going to their website and following the instructions on their website.  Once you complete the process you come to a screen that gives the USAT number and gives you the option to print a temporary card.  Write down the number or print the card an keep it handy for the online registration process at Active.com.
   2. You can also purchase a "Youth Tri Series Club" that includes the USAT membership. The membership includes a one year USAT membership, access to age appropriate 6 week training schedules created by certified Coach Karen Buxton, discounts from certain suppliers, a year end gift if you participate in 3 series races.  For more details go to the Youth Tri Series website and click on "About Us" or "Click to Join" for more details.
   3. Either route you choose, you will need the USA Triathlon membership # before proceeding with online registration.

2. ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR USAT #, YOU CAN CONTINUE TO ONLINE REGISTRATION.  By following the online registration link, you will be re-directed to the Valdese Family Practice Youth Triathlon page on ACTIVE.com.  Follow the directions to register now. 

   1. TO RECEIVE THE ADDITIONAL CHILD DISCOUNT, YOU MUST REGISTER ALL THE KIDS AT ONE TIME!! tO DO THAT, CHOOSE FIRST CHILD AND ENTER ALL OF THEIR INFORMATION, THEN BEFORE PROCEEDING TO PAYMENT LOOK FOR THE LINK THAT SAYS REGISTER AN ADDITIONAL CHILD (OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT FOR EACH KID.)

   2. NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ACTIVE.COM TO REGISTER FOR THE RACE (ALTHOUGH A SMALL HANDLING FEE DOES APPLY).  YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR A LOGIN, SIMPLY CHOOSE THE GUEST OPTION.
